The Centennial Chapter is very interested in
offering opportunities for youth to get
involved in the American Red Cross and serve
their community. There are a variety of
things young people can do for their
hometown Red Cross:
- Help form a Red Cross Club at school
or church. Learn how to assist in time
of disaster, raise funds, and encourage
other youth to become trained in
lifesaving skills.
- Find an individual project that will
help the Chapter help others. This can
be a school, scouting or internship
project.
- Learn how and then learn to teach
CPR, First Aid, and other courses to
community members.
Note: You must be 17 or older.
- Develop a class project around a Red
Cross service or issue.
- Help with the Measles Initiative to
rid children of this disease, which
kills 70,000 each year in Africa.
- Take our Babysitting Course, so you
will be fully prepared and certified to
care for children in another family’s
home.
